The Queens of the Krewe of Agape embody poise, grace, and elegance, serving as shining examples of leadership and excellence within the community. More than just symbols of royalty, these accomplished women are role models, representing the Krewe’s values of Christian love, charity, and empowerment.
Each Queen carries forward a legacy of distinction, inspiring others through her dedication, achievements, and commitment to service. Whether in education, business, or community outreach, they exemplify strength and resilience while embracing the rich traditions of Mardi Gras. Through their reign, they uplift and inspire, proving that true royalty is defined not just by a crown, but by the impact they make in the lives of others.

XIX Queen Denair Clark
Ms. DeNair Marie Clark of Denver Colorado. DeNair is the daughter of the late Dardnella Marie Clark of Reserve, La. DeNair is no stranger to the Agape family, with her mom and uncle reigning as the first King and Queen Agape in 1988 (DeNair was a paige in that court). DeNair is now a resident of Denver Colorado where she is the Assistant Director of the Learning Effectiveness Program at the University of Denver. DeNair obtained her Master’s of Education Administration from the University of New Orleans and is currently enrolled in Morgridge College of Education Counseling Psychology program.

XVIII Queen Nadia Cooper
Nydia is the daughter of Machiavellia and the late Nadine Nelson Cooper of St. James. Nydia is a gradaute of Loyola University in New Orleans where she studied marketing and management on scholarship. Nydia also has a third-degree level two black belt and is a junior instructor. Nydia is no stranger to Krewe of Agape; she has been a page, a princess, a lady in waiting and a maid.

XVII Queen Dr. Kelli Joseph
Kelli Joseph is the daughter of Whitney and Precious Joseph. She is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University where she received her doctorate in Educational Leadership. She has been in education for over 25 years and was awarded Superintendent of the Year in 2020 on a statewide level for her outstanding contributions to student success as superintendent of St. Helena Parish Public Schools.
